Something About Me

Currently I am enrolled in the Masters of Entrepreneurship program through Western Carolina University (WCU). Two years before beginning this part of my life, I graduated from WCU from the Art Education department with a B.F.A. and a B.S.Ed. The summer before I graduated from WCU, I attended a woodworking class at Penland School of Crafts where I learned from Stoney Lamar, Brent Skidmore, Sandra Sell, and Robyn Horn. In the fall of 2010, when I started at WCU, I volunteered at a festival that September. It was the 3rd annual Youth Arts Festival out at the Jackson County Green Energy Park (GEP). From then onwards, I continued to be involved out at the GEP and my responsibility began to grow. In August of 2015 I was hired on with Jackson County as a part-time employee out at the Green Energy Park. One day I hope to be a full-time employee with at the GEP and I wish to remain in Western North Carolina. Through the Masters of Entrepreneurship program, I hope to gain a greater understanding and knowledge of how to create and manage your own business. I also hope to continue creating my own sculpture work through chainsaw woodcarving.
